1/8/2023 0 Comments Lvl 100 trials mode ffxii![]() Gabranth is also an annoyance, though not as much as Bergan. If they aren’t buffing, they’re attacking, and if someone is missing buffs, they’ll immediately get on it. BERGAN HATES DISPEL - SO USE IT.Īlso, keep in mind that if you dispel Bergan but Drace and/or Zargabaath are still alive, they WILL re-buff him. You need to dispel him as soon as possible - he will take out anyone with ease, no matter what your class or equipment, he is unstoppable like this. Remember, if any of the other four judges are alive, they will use Elixirs. He is unbelievably powerful (being powerful by default + boosted attack from bravery + boosted speed from haste + increased attack, speed and hits from berserk) and you WILL lose, no doubt about it. Don’t even think about trying to fight him head on. This fight will get out of your hands very quickly if you don’t clear this problem up FAST. If you have Protect/Shell/Bravery/Haste/Berserk Bergan on the field, he will annihilate you. Not only will the other four heal him with elixirs, but Drace and Zargabaath will be cheering him on to kill you as fast and painfully as possible.įrom Drace he gets Shell and Protect, and worst of all…HASTE. His focus is you the entire time, and his pals will aid in any way they can. Though he has his pals to thank for making him worse…īergan is the only judge that won’t heal his companions with an Elixir. I can’t describe how annoying and monstrous this guy is. …but there is one that will constantly remind you of his existence… Remember, don’t underestimate anyone! They are all dangerous! I’m not exaggerating when I say they will drop everything just to get those healing items in on you!! It takes only a few seconds for them to approach you, so if that reverse status isn’t gone, well…you can guess what’ll happen. There are no breaks in between these fights, so you need to spend those early seconds of the fight getting rid of that status. In fact, Ghis will actually start casting reverse on you and immediately use an Elixir.Īlso keep in mind that this fight is immediately after Omega Mark XII, meaning that there is a good chance a few of your characters, maybe even all of them, will have the reverse status on them. Having this status on a character will immediately cause 4 out of 5 Judges to throw Hi-Potions, X-Potions and Elixirs and instantly kill that character. The tactic that works so well against Yiazmat and Omega won’t work here. Hastega, Protectga, Shellga, Bravery, Faith, Berserk are EVERYWHERE and you need to keep watching, learn who uses what, determine who is causing you the biggest headache and take them down first. It’s easy to miss who is doing what and it makes it that much harder to take them out quicker. Each Judge has a different moveset and it can get absolutely insane with so many different attacks and buffs being thrown around. I can’t stress enough how easy it is to lose control. ![]() Once that final stage begins, you need to be ready. Just getting to stage 100 isn’t easy (and definitely not quick). Stage 96 - Abysteels (sometimes with Glaring Eye) Stage 92 - Shadowseer, Fenrir, Slyt, Pandaemonium, Phoenix This means the final save file will start at stage 91 - meaning you will have to complete 9 stages before you can fight these guys at stage 100. Trial Mode consists of 100 battles and data can be saved every 10 stages. (From left to right: Zargabaath, Bergan, Gabranth, Ghis and Drace)Ī bit of neat trivia: the battle starts with the 5 judges slowly approaching - and they are standing in the same formation as the official art above!!įirst off, let’s talk about the journey to Stage 100… There will be information on their AI and attacks, plus some tips, after the cut. This post is going to be about my experience fighting these guys. ![]() This fight is so easy to lose control of and the stakes are high since it takes a lot of time and patience just to even get a shot at them. This is easily one of the most difficult fights in all of Final Fantasy - right up there with the likes of Ruby and Emerald Weapon from FFVII, Ozma from FFIX, Proto-Babil from FFIV DS, the Dark Aeons and Penance from FFX International… I’ve fought and beaten all of the aforementioned so believe me when I say, THESE GUYS DON’T PLAY AROUND.
